(Akron, OH, February 11, 2014) ― The law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC is proud to announce that John “Chip” Bodie joined the firm as a partner in the Cleveland office.
Bodie will continue his medical malpractice career as a member of the firm’s health and medicine practice group.
Prior to joining the firm, Bodie was a member at Marshall & Melhourn in Toledo (2000-2013) and partner at Buckley King & Bluso in Cleveland (1998-2000). He is also an adjunct-associate professor for the University of Toledo Medical Center. His experience includes all aspects of defense malpractice, medical device litigation, insurance defense, errors and omissions litigation and risk management.
John Slagter, Buckingham’s managing partner, said, “Chip is a valuable addition to our health and medicine group. His knowledge and first-chair litigation experience will benefit our clients, and we are pleased to add him as a member of our team.”
Bodie earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Purdue University and his Juris Doctor from The University of Toledo College of Law.
Bodie regularly speaks on a variety of topics, including those for “Continuing Legal Education.” He has been listed on The Best Lawyer in America list from 2005 to present, and he was named The Best Lawyers in America 2013 “Lawyer of the Year” in Toledo for malpractice law defendants.
