Effective April 1, 2023, Buckingham, Doolittle and Burroughs, LLC is pleased to announce that Chris Niekamp has been named Office Partner-in-Charge (OPIC) of the Firm’s Akron office.
Niekamp joined Buckingham in 2020, after serving as Managing Partner of Niekamp, Weisensell, Mutersbaugh & Mastrantonio, LLP for many years.
“Rich Fry has been the Akron OPIC since 2020, in addition to serving as the Taxation Practice Group Leader where he would now like to exclusively focus on the great work and continued growth of this group,” says Buckingham Managing Partner Steve Dimengo. “The OPIC role is extremely vital to the culture of each of our offices and spearheads many of the Firm’s community involvement activities for their office. They also lead the efforts around internal teambuilding and morale. Chris has been very active in the community and has enthusiastically planned many of our office events.”
Niekamp is a Corporate and Commercial Litigation attorney who represents large and small businesses and individuals in matters related to bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, mergers and acquisitions, real estate (including litigation), and shareholder disputes. Niekamp is a member of IR Global, an international network of attorneys. Niekamp works with many Akron organizations and is part of Leadership Akron Class 39.
