(Akron, OH, June 26, 2020) – Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Fry to Partner-In-Charge of the Akron office.
Fry joined Buckingham in 2008 as a member of the Firm’s Business Practice Group representing businesses in many commercial and real estate transactions and providing advice concerning challenges encountered in their operations. Fry has proven himself to be a valuable contributor for Buckingham, including chairing its Taxation Practice Group and leading the Firm’s Breakfast with Buckingham event series.
“Rich has provided invaluable leadership and insight in many firm-wide initiatives and has been an asset to our local community through his philanthropic efforts and external board involvement,” said Buckingham’s Managing Partner Steven Dimengo. “I am confident that Rich will offer great leadership for our Akron office and the Firm.”
In this role, Fry will support a positive and collaborative culture, serve as a go-to resource for employees, help advance Firm-wide recruitment efforts and represent the Akron office in the local community.
“It is an honor to be selected to lead Buckingham’s Akron office through the next phase of our strategic growth,” said Fry. “This new role will allow me to leverage my leadership experience to drive positive change, provide support for our tremendous administrative staff here in Akron, and lead initiatives that will help Buckingham and our clients become even more successful.”
Fry earned a B.B.A in Finance from Kent State University and attended the University of Akron for his Masters in Taxation, and the University of Akron’s School of Law for his Juris Doctorate. He carries leadership roles outside the firm including serving as a board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio and Stewarts Caring Place. Rich has also been selected for the Leadership Akron Signature Class 37.
