For five years now, Buckingham’s Akron Office has held Pie-Mageddon, a pie tasting contest.
Three attorneys, Matt Duncan, Josh Nolan and John Reyes, each bring in two pies for everyone in the office to sample. The pies can be homemade or store-bought. Once sampled, tasters are asked to vote on their favorite. The competition continues until a pie is gone.
This year, for the first time, there was a tie between two pies: Josh Nolan’s Apple Caramel Walnut Crumble Pie from Mama Joe’s Pies in Medina, and Matt Duncan’s Banana Cream Pie from Ann’s Pastry Shop in Wadsworth!
“Remember, there are no losers in Pie-Mageddon,” says Matt Duncan. “Only full stomachs.”
