Buckingham is pleased to announce that Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Attorney, Margaret Ruf, has joined the Firm’s Cleveland office.

Ruf focuses on helping clients manage the ever-evolving landscape of data privacy regulations and cybersecurity threats. She regularly advises clients on privacy statements, data processing and data transfer agreements, due diligence and warranty negotiations for mergers and acquisitions, and privacy and cybersecurity audits. Her experience and expertise add to Buckingham’s growing business practice group.

Margaret is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), and has served as in-house counsel and a data privacy advisor to a national technology solutions company and a Cleveland biotechnology company. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Margaret is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the Cleveland eDiscovery, Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Roundtable, and is active in both the Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations.
