Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC is pleased to announce that Michael A. Ellis has joined the firm’s Cleveland office as a partner in the Business Practice Group. He joins Buckingham from Porter Wright.

Ellis has more than 38 years of experience as a corporate and securities attorney. He focuses his practice on mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, and public and private securities offerings. Ellis counsels clients, including start-up and emerging growth companies, angel groups and venture funds, on capital financing.

Ellis has been named to The Best Lawyers in America^® and Ohio’s Super Lawyers^™.  In addition, he was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2016 edition of “Best Lawyers in America” for corporate law, and Ohio’s Super Lawyers™ for mergers and acquisitions.

Ellis earned his bachelor’s degree (cum laude) and his master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974, and went on to earn his Juris Doctor in 1977 from Duke University School of Law, Order of the Coif.
