Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs is pleased to announce two new associates, Meleah Kinlow and Nicole Coumou, have joined the firm’s Akron office.
Kinlow, a member of the Litigation Practice Group, attended Ohio University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science graduating cum laude in 2013. She attended The University of Akron School of Law where she earned Juris Doctor in May 2016. Kinlow said, “I have always had a desire to perpetuate positive change in my community. I figured, at the very least, law school would provide me with a platform to do just that.” Prior to joining Buckingham as an attorney, Kinlow served as a third year law clerk in 2016.
Coumou, a member of the Trusts and Estates Group, holds a law license in Florida and the District of Columbia and passed the Ohio Bar Exam in 2016. She attended Suffolk University in Boston where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting (cum laude, 2010). She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard School of Law in Fort Lauderdale (cum laude, 2013) and in 2014 she attended Georgetown University Law Center to earn her Masters of Law in Taxation and Certificate in Estate Planning. “I enjoy finance which prompted me to get my accounting degree; however, I’ve always been drawn to the legal aspects. As a tax, trusts and estates attorney, my joy in helping people has been a driver to my career path,” said Coumou. Prior to joining Buckingham, Nicole served as a Tax Consultant at Deloitte Tax, LLP in Atlanta.
“We are proud to have both Meleah and Nicole join Buckingham with their diverse skill sets and enthusiasm for supporting our clients,” said John Slagter, Buckingham’s Managing Partner.
