On Sept. 12, 2014, 24 Buckingham attorneys spent the afternoon at Firestone Country Club practicing their golf swing at the 3rd Annual Buckingham Golf Outing.
The group split in to six foursomes to complete the nine-hole course that began with shotgun start at 1 p.m.
Three of the holes had unique skills challenges such as: longest drive, won by Buckingham’s Managing Partner, John Slagter; closest to the pin, won by Partner-In-Charge of the Akron office, Bill Caplan; and longest putt, won by associate Jon Stefanik.
The winning team of two, as well as the winning foursome, also received prizes.
Ron Cirullo, Steve Hammersmith, Ron Wayne and David Woodburn won the competition overall. Ron Cirullo and Ron Wayne were the wining twosome, with a combined score of 31.
After the outing, our participants enjoyed a happy hour, where nine of our attorneys completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (video).
